St. Petersburg State University of Service and Economics SUSE St. Petersburg State University of Service and Economics SUSE is one of the finest universities in St. Petersburg and the North-West region of Russia. The main priority of the university is providing high qualified training of competitive specialists. The university is the youngest State University in St. Petersburg. 38 thousand students currently study at the university, which offers 35 academic programs and 50 specialties. Teaching is provided at 8 Institutions and 32 regional branch campuses, as well as at the Polytechnical College (both full-time and correspondence courses are available). There are 200 people in the postgraduate course and the doctorate. The teaching staff numbers 1072 people among which there are 126 professors and 683 doctors and candidates of Science. Today SUSE is a really functioning and developing university scientific and educational complex. The university is chosen the main institution of higher education in Russsia in training qualified specialists for the industry of tourism and hotel and restaurant business. Federal resource center of industry of tourism and hospitality is being founded on the basis of SUSE. In 2009 SUSE became the initiator of founding and the main organization of National scientific and educational innovative and technological consortium of institutions of higher education of Russian service. In the period until 2019 there was developed and is being realized the program of founding of the national research technological university of service on the basis of SUSE. Graduates of the university have no problems with a job placement. High-qualified training allows them to work in big companies, financial organizations, in the sphere of service and small-scale business successfully.
