Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin)![]() Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin) is one of the leading educational and science centers in the Russian Federation in the field of architecture and civil engineering. NGASU (Sibstrin) has been training specialists since 1930. Its first title was Siberia Construction Institute. In 1935 Sibstrin was renamed into Novosibirsk Engineering and Construction institute named after V. V. Kuybyshev. Since 1969 it has been training specialists for foreign countries. In May 1993 it got the status of the academy and was renamed into Novosibirsk State Academy of construction and in 1998 the academy was reorganized into Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. According to the All-Russia Public Organization "Business Russia", NGASU (Sibstrin) is included into 50 best Russian higher educational establishments by demand of graduates in the labour market. The University has trained more than 42 000 specialists (engineers, architects. economists, sociologists) during its history. It has gained the recognition not only in Russia but also abroad. Students from 35 countries of Asia, Europe, South and North America have been trained at University since 1978.
