Vladimir

Vladimir is a historical city in Russia, the administrative center of Vladimir oblast. It is located on the Klyazma River, 193 kilometers east of Moscow. It is the ancient capital of North-East Russia, one of the biggest tourist centers in the country. Vladimir is included into the Golden Ring of Russia. The total area of the city is 300 square km. The population is 345 600.

Vladimir is a big industrial center of Central Russia. The most developing sectors are food, chemical industries, machine building and energetics.

 There are several institutions of higher education and colleges functioning in the city

There is also Orthodox seminary in Vladimir.

Vladimir experiences a humid continental climate with long, cold winters and short, warm summers.
